Ydra Studio makes waves in fashion manufacturing.
Cristina Lima, our Head of Sales, shares how.

Cristina Lima,

our Head of Sales at Ydra Studio, embodies the passion and leadership that helps us to grow in the highly competitive textile industry. With over 30 years of experience in international markets and an empathetic personality, our Head of Sales has played a crucial role in expanding our client base and solidifying Ydra Studio’s reputation as a premier high-quality garment manufacturer in Portugal.

This week, we sat down with Cristina to delve into the core values that define Ydra Studio. From our commitment to client-centricity to our pursuit of craftsmanship and sustainability, Cristina offers unique insights into what sets us apart in fashion manufacturing.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and your role at Ydra Studio?

I have over 30 years of experience in the textile industry, primarily focusing on international markets. I’ve specialized in planning business activities and managing client relationships and orders.

As Head of Sales at Ydra Studio, my main priorities are growing our client base and streamlining our sales processes. I am dedicated to boosting our brand presence and expanding it internationally to ensure Ydra Studio remains strong and competitive as a Portuguese clothing manufacturer.

Ydra Studio is known for its client-centric approach. Can you explain what this means?

client-centric approach is all about putting clients at the heart of everything we do. It’s not just about prioritizing them but also about deeply understanding their stories. This means knowing your clients inside and out—understanding their business, their industry, their challenges, and what keeps them up at night. In many ways, it’s like becoming an insider in their company.

What do you think sets Ydra Studio apart from other clothing manufacturers?

What truly sets Ydra Studio apart is our commitment to high-quality clothing, coupled with our client-centric approach and passion for our work. Additionally, we take pride in our versatility in products and services, as well as our flexibility in quantities. These combined factors, in my perspective, are exactly what makes us stand out in this industry.

How does Ydra Studio keep its high standards of quality and craftsmanship?

At Ydra Studio, quality is essential and ingrained in our DNA. We’re like a family of fashion gurus, blending creativity and textile expertise. What really sets us apart is our teamwork, communication, and open-door policy. Our hands-on approach, combined with rigorous quality assurance and meticulous attention to detail, ensures we consistently deliver high-quality results.

Can you provide an example of a successful sustainable initiative at Ydra Studio?

Among our various sustainable practices, one key initiative that stands out to me is our strategic partnership with a fabric supplier to transform textile waste into new fabrics. Specifically, we send all our cotton textile waste to a recycling facility, where it is processed and transformed into “reborn” jersey fabrics. This process gives new life to textile waste, turning what would be garbage into valuable materials.

How does Ydra Studio build and maintain long-term partnerships with clients?

At Ydra Studio, our focus is on truly understanding our clients and fostering long-term partnerships with them. We see our clients as the true stars, and it’s our mission to ensure they shine! By prioritizing our clients, providing personalized service, and maintaining high-quality standards within a sustainable approach, we aim to cultivate strong, enduring relationships and pave the way for mutual success.

What current trends in the fashion and garment industry are you most excited about?

I think we can all agree that, in the ever-evolving fashion industry, staying ahead means keeping pace with what people want and need. Currently, I’m particularly drawn to the trends centered around sustainability and eco-friendly materials. Additionally, the advancements in technology, such as AI, 3D printing, and smart textiles, are revolutionizing how we create and design. But, what truly excites me is the movement towards inclusivity. Witnessing greater diversity in design and sizes isn’t just refreshing; it’s a huge step towards making fashion more inclusive and representative for all. I firmly believe that clothes are more than just fabric and design—they embody confidence and play a pivotal role in shaping our daily lives, regardless of our backgrounds or occupations.

What are your goals for Ydra Studio in the next few years?

Aligned with the company’s vision and mission, my goals for the next few years are to strengthen our brand identity and market position. This will involve driving not only our international expansion but also enhancing our client retention efforts. By focusing on these key areas, we aim to solidify our presence in the global market and foster long-term relationships with our valued clients.
